Turkey says no to Armenia
Turkey has closed its airspace to Armenian airline Taron Avia, without warning, according to the Armenian civil aviation committee. The move is seen as escalating tensions between the two neighbouring countries, which have a long-standing dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Taron Avia had been operating flights between Armenia and Russia, with a stopover in Georgia. Still, it is unclear how they will transport their passengers home following the sudden closure of Turkish airspace.
This decision has been condemned by the Armenian government, which has accused Turkey of violating international norms and endangering civilian lives. AerDragon to Beibu Gulf.. Here are two planes!
Aircraft leasing firm AerDragon is set to deliver two Airbus A320 aircraft to China’s Beibu Gulf Airlines as part of a leasing agreement.
The two A320s were previously leased to East Star Airlines, which ceased operations in 2018. The aircraft has since been refurbished and ready to be returned to service.
Beibu Gulf Airlines, based in Nanning, will use the aircraft to expand its network of domestic and international routes. The airline currently operates a fleet of six Airbus A320s, which serve a range of destinations across China and Southeast Asia.
The addition of the two leased A320s is expected to help Beibu Gulf Airlines expand its operations and compete more effectively in China’s competitive aviation market.
